Dublin old lamps in Merrion Square
I’ll never be tired of walking through Merrion Square. Every time I step through the gates of this park and look up at its old lamps, I feel as if I’ve been transported back in time.
Ok, as I said before, I might have loaded the camera with the wrong film. As well as the lamps’ and tree leaves’ dark colour, there was the weather to be considered. All the same, don’t you think the park’s lush greenery is nice even on a dreary day?
The collection comprises around thirtyish lamps so I’m bound to go back (with a different camera or just a different film) sooner or later.
Camera: Voigtländer Vitoret DR
Film: Fujifilm Portra 100, Expired
Location: Merrion Square, Dublin

Anche a me piace un sacco camminare, fermarmi e osservare. Le tue foto sono magnifiche, anche queste con la pellicola non adeguata. Sono dei testi di lettura, degli articoli perfetti!
Grazie Titti. I tuoi commenti mi fanno sempre arrossire!
Per dirla tutta pero’, il giorno in cui ho scattato queste foto le pause sono state dettate dalla necessita’ di ripararsi dalla pioggia piu’ che dalla voglia di osservare…
I like the darkness of the photos and how, as you say, the lushness of the greenery still comes through.
Dottie, thank you so much for having left a comment here! It has allowed me to find your blog that I love!
