On my last day in Munich I visited the Deutsches Museum, which is located on a little island in the Isar River. Leaving a little bit earlier than the friends I was with, I meandered on my own with my camera in order to absorb the surroundings. I didn’t go far as I just crossed the bridges that link the island to the banks of the river, but I did manage to capture some winter afternoon light.

The next two photos, on the other hand, were taken earlier in the day from the museum’s second floor terrace. I particularly like the last one because I think the Kodak Portra 160′s icy tones perfect for the nippy atmosphere of the winter scene.

Photos from the museum are coming soon.

Nella prima c’è una luce spettacolare! Che differenza fra una macchina e l’altra!

Oh no, stessa macchina diversa pellicola. Nevertheless, as you said, risultati completamente diversi!

I’m so glad I sneaked out of the museum and took that short walk in the afternoon. The light was magic!

Grazie mille, Mimmo. Quella foto per me e’ la prova che riesco a catturare certe atmosfere solo se sono sola.

Se il sesto piano del museo non fosse stato chiuso for renovations avrei scattato anche piu’ foto del fiume dall’alto! Comunque l’ultima stole my heart too!

I really loved visiting it in December, so I think it’s not just worth visiting during Oktoberfest.
