One should really use the camera as though tomorrow you’d be stricken blind. To live a visual life is an enormous undertaking, practically unattainable. I have only touched it, just touched it. – Dorothea Lange
Up until last week I’d never struggled to find inspiration and/or motivation to keep this project going. Then last week I found myself never in the right state of mind for bringing a camera (any camera) with me. I can’t even blame the weather which has been very nice lately. Then on Saturday morning I thought that, no matter what, I had to grab a camera and go out. And so I did.
They were all taken within walking distance of my house, but at least I came back with an exposed roll!
Camera: Hasselblad 500 C/M
Film: Ilford PANF Plus 50 (developed in Ilfosol 3, 1+14, 4 minutes, 20°C)
Location: Blackrock, Co. Dublin
About this project:
For one year, I will shoot a roll of 120 or 35mm film per week. I’m not going to use just one camera, one lens, one film or one developer as other photographers are doing. The only rule will be that scans will be posted online
every Monday. Pretty simple, right? Well, I’ll tell you at the end of the year… if I make it!
